About Us
Cub Run Archers (CRA) draws its membership from the Arlington Fairfax Chapter, Inc. of the Isaac Walton League of America (ARL-FX). In order to be a member of Cub Run Archers, you must first be an Arlington Fairfax IWLA member.
The above is driven by the fact that Cub Run Archers is on the ARL-FX chapter grounds, and its resources are a shared use resource available for use by all ARL-FX Chapter members. In essence, CRA is a group of like-minded archery enthusiast members of Arlington Fairfax IWLA that help maintain a world class archery facility at the Chapter. Members of Arlington Fairfax IWLA do not need to belong to CRA to use the archery facilities. But if you have a passion for archery and want to help maintain the excellence established at the facility, CRA membership is a way to help ensure that continuity. A little History: Around the 1950’s the ARL-FX Chapter BOD established a field archery committee to promote archery within the Chapter. This committee evolved into the current Cub Run Archers (CRA). The Preamble to the CRA By-Laws states that the CRA “is authorized by the Arlington-Fairfax Chapter of the Izaak Walton League to further the art of archery and promote and establish facilities for the enjoyment of this sport for the Arlington-Fairfax IWLA membership.” What are the benefits of CRA? Virginia Bowhunters Association (VBA) by-laws require membership in a VBA affiliated archery club in order for individuals to compete in VBA matches. VBA by-laws require that the affiliated archery club promote the sport of archery. VBA by-laws also require the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Range Captain of the affiliated club be VBA members. Facilities:
In addition to the archery facilities, the ARL-FX Chapter also provides:

Various Archery Tournaments including 3d (foam animals in in the woods), Safari (Animal pictures in the woods) and field archery(Paper targets in the woods) tournaments. We also have and indoor archery league that shoots once a week during the winter. When using a GPS to get to the club, make sure that you are being routed to Mount Olive Road, as some GPS's seem to believe that there is an exit from I-66 into the property, this is not correct.
